- Revolut has today begun a phased rollout of its first stablecoin, euro-backed EURR, to selected eligible customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, with wider availability in other EEA markets expected later this year
- EURR is issued by Bridge, a Stripe company, and will be fully-integrated into the retail app, giving eligible customers a euro-denominated on-chain asset
- This is the first step in Revolut’s broader stablecoin strategy as it becomes a bridge between fiat and crypto – with additional currency-denominated stablecoins being developed through separate regulatory pathways
London, United Kingdom – 26th August 2026 – Revolut, the global fintech with more than 80 million retail customers worldwide and over 16 million crypto users, has today commenced the phased rollout of EURR – a euro-backed stablecoin issued by Bridge, a Stripe company, and fully-integrated into the Revolut retail app.
The rollout, eligible to a select group of customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, marks Revolut’s next step in becoming a bridge between fiat and crypto, bringing euros on-chain and connecting its fiat, currency exchange, and crypto ecosystem.
Stablecoins are the core infrastructure for the crypto economy, supporting trading, settlement, and movement across blockchain networks. As digital assets move closer to mainstream finance, Revolut believes stablecoins have the potential to support broader use cases across international transfers, business transactions, and settlement over time.
EURR will give eligible customers a euro-denominated, on-chain rail to move between euros and crypto. EURR will also be supported by multiple blockchain networks and external wallets.
Revolut’s EURR stablecoin is designed to maintain a value of €1.00 and is backed by reserves held and managed by the issuer (Bridge Building S.A.) in accordance with the applicable MiCA regulatory requirements. A broader rollout of EURR across the EEA and other denominated currencies is expected later this year, subject to product, operational, and regulatory readiness.
Emil Urmanshin, Head of Crypto and New Bets at Revolut, said: “EURR connects 80 million Revolut customers directly to on-chain finance. By combining our global scale and licensed banking infrastructure with instant euro-denominated access to the crypto ecosystem, we are unlocking real-world stablecoin utility that no traditional bank or crypto native can match.”
Iman Olya, Product Owner – Stablecoin at Revolut, added: “Revolut initially eliminated hidden fees and friction in currency exchange – now we are doing the exact same thing for crypto. EURR completely removes the pain of moving on and off-chain, becoming a new seamless and instantaneous bridge between fiat and crypto.”
Mai Leduc Blount, Head of Product at Bridge, said: “We’re proud to help Revolut, one of the world’s leading fintechs, launch a custom stablecoin for the European market. Our MiCA and EMI authorisations provide the trusted foundation for any business that wants to build with euro-denominated rails.”
