Leadership marked the milestone in Dallas with a bell ceremony at TXSE headquarters

DALLAS, July 31, 2026 — The Texas Stock Exchange today commemorated the successful launch of production trading with a bell ceremony at its Dallas headquarters, marking the completion of a phased rollout of all National Market System symbols on its platform.

In just 18 months, TXSE built a custom order-matching engine and delivered a fully integrated exchange — trading and listings together — something no prior entrant has done. With more than 50 member firms, TXSE opens full production trading with the broadest day-one participation of any exchange launch in a half century.

“Today is a watershed moment for the state of Texas and America’s capital markets,” said TXSE Chairman and CEO James H Lee. “TXSE is now firmly a part of the global market structure. Our state-of-the-art platform is pure infrastructure built to support what comes next — real competition for primary listings for the first time in decades.”

“We’ve created a world class system that can process billions of messages, reliably, with ultra-low latencies,” added TXSE President and Global Head of Trading Cameron Smith. “Our incredible team accomplished this goal on schedule through hard work, coupled with decades of expertise.”

Today’s milestone sets up the exchange to introduce auctions to support listings later this year and bring to market innovative new trading solutions. ETP listings are expected in late Q3, followed by corporate transfers in Q4 and IPOs in 2027.
