World Investor Week (WIW) 2026 officially begins today across participating jurisdictions around the world, marking the 10th edition of IOSCO’s global campaign dedicated to investor education, investor protection, and financial literacy.
Over the coming week, financial regulators, educators, and partner organizations will deliver a wide range of activities aimed at helping investors build the knowledge and skills needed to make informed financial decisions. Events will include webinars, educational campaigns, workshops, school initiatives, digital outreach activities and awareness programs tailored to local audiences. Activities taking place throughout the week will provide investors with practical information and educational resources to help them navigate rapidly changing financial markets, a wide range of investment-related online content, and increasingly sophisticated scams.
As in previous editions, WIW2026 will be supported by a number of partner organizations, including the Financial Planning Standards Board’s (FPSB) bespoke World Financial Planning Day on October 7, as well as the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE)’ Ring the bell for financial literacy event.
This year’s edition, held under the tagline “Invest in Your Future. Protect It Today”, marks ten years since the launch of the first World Investor Week in 2017. Over the past decade, the campaign has grown into a wide-reaching global initiative, engaging regulators and stakeholders across more than 100 jurisdictions.
As financial markets continue to evolve and new technologies influence the way investment information is shared and consumed, investor education remains a critical tool in helping individuals assess information and make informed financial decisions. World Investor Week aim to encourage greater awareness of the resources available to investors and of the steps they can take to protect themselves from potential harm.
