SINGAPORE and JERSEY CITY, NJ – Caladan, a global proprietary trading group and digital asset liquidity provider, today announced a collaboration with Spotex, an electronic trading venue for foreign exchange, precious metals and digital assets, to expand access to institutional cryptocurrency liquidity.

Through the collaboration, Caladan will provide digital asset liquidity to Spotex’s institutional trading network, connecting its global crypto trading capabilities with Spotex’s client base of banks, brokers, hedge funds and asset managers. The integration will provide institutional market participants with additional sources of competitive digital asset pricing and execution through Spotex’s sophisticated trading venue.

Caladan provides liquidity across more than 110 spot, swap and CFD markets, supported by automated digital asset settlement, 24/5 fiat settlement, streamlined onboarding and post-trade workflows. Its infrastructure supports million-dollar trade sizes across major markets, enabling institutional counterparties to execute large transactions efficiently.

This development builds on Spotex’s established presence in institutional electronic trading and continued expansion into digital assets. Founded in 2010, Spotex has built its business around institutional electronic trading in foreign exchange and has expanded its infrastructure into digital assets. By integrating Caladan’s capabilities, Spotex will further strengthen its deep liquidity pools, complementing the venue’s advanced low-latency execution and comprehensive market analytics available to clients.

“Institutional participation in digital assets increasingly depends on bringing together deep crypto-native liquidity with the execution standards and infrastructure that firms already expect from traditional markets,” said Julia Zhou, President and Co-Founder, Caladan. “Spotex has spent years building institutional electronic trading infrastructure in FX, and its expansion into digital assets creates a natural connection between those two markets. By providing liquidity through Spotex, we can make Caladan’s pricing and execution capabilities accessible to a broader base of institutional counterparties.”

“As we expand Spotex’s digital asset marketplace, the quality and depth of the liquidity available to our clients is critical,” said John Miesner, CEO, Spotex. “Caladan brings significant experience in digital asset markets and strengthens the institutional liquidity available through our platform. This collaboration supports our objective of giving brokers, hedge funds and asset managers access to high-quality digital asset execution through the same institutional infrastructure and workflows they expect in FX.”

“We continue to grow our network by partnering with leading institutional firms in the digital asset industry,” said Joe Tuccio, Head of Digital Assets, Spotex. “Adding Caladan to the Spotex network deepens our global liquidity offering and provides greater choice to clients across a broad range of digital assets.”

The Spotex collaboration reflects growing institutional demand for digital asset trading solutions that combine crypto-native market depth with established execution, connectivity, custody and settlement infrastructure. As the digital asset market continues to evolve, Caladan and Spotex will leverage their complementary capabilities to support the needs of institutions entering the space and expanding their digital asset activities.
