Robinhood reported 28.6 million funded customers at the end of August and $384 billion of assets on the platform. Assets rose 8 percent from July and 26 percent from a year earlier. The customer count increased by about 120,000 in the month and by 1.9 million over twelve months.

Equity trading amounted to $335 billion, 68 percent above August 2025. Options volume was 293 million contracts, half as much again as a year before. Crypto trading came to $17.5 billion. That was 61 percent higher than July and 38 percent lower than last August. Bitstamp accounted for $10.1 billion of the crypto total, the Robinhood application for $7.4 billion. Prediction-market contracts numbered 4.7 billion, 23 percent below July and fifteen times the level of a year earlier.

Clients deposited a net $4.0 billion in August, compared with $5.6 billion in July. Over the past year deposits were $74.1 billion, equivalent to a 24 percent increase against the asset base of August 2025. From July the firm has included in both assets and deposits the Trump Accounts for which it acts as custodian.

Balances that earn interest continued to grow. Margin credit stood at $21.5 billion, 72 percent higher than a year earlier. Cash and deposits were $19.6 billion, up 37 percent. Money swept to partner banks reached $31.2 billion, 7 percent above July and 9 percent below last August. Net income from securities lending was a loss of $8 million.

The same release listed new tools: automated trading in options and crypto, Robinhood Earn, Smart Income, crypto dealing in the United Kingdom, more than 190 tokenised shares on Robinhood Chain, and further Cortex and IPO Access functions for registered advisers. The August figures leave the composition of activity visible without much commentary. Listed shares and options remain the large books. Crypto improved on the month and has not returned to last year’s scale.
