Starling named official national banking partner for UEFA Women’s EURO 2022


London, 26 October 2021 – Starling Bank today announces that it is the official national banking partner for the UEFA Women’s EURO, taking place across England in July 2022.

Starling customers will benefit from priority access to tickets for the tournament in February 2022.

Hosted in England with 31 matches over 26 days across 10 venues in nine cities, opening at Old Trafford and closing at Wembley, the competition will be a nationwide celebration of Women’s sport. Matches will take place at stadiums in host cities across the country including Brighton & Hove, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Rotherham, Sheffield, Southampton, Trafford, Wigan and Leigh

With over 700,000 tickets available, UEFA together with The FA, aims to make this tournament the biggest women’s European sporting event in history. The tournament is already on track to break records with over 162,000 tickets sold to date. Tickets go back on sale this week with the Public Ballot opening at 19.00 on 28 October, following the Final Draw Show that is live on BBC One from 16.30.

Host England will be one of the 16 nations competing for the trophy that also includes fellow home nation Northern Ireland who have qualified for a Women’s EURO for the first time in their history. England’s Lionesses made it to the semi-finals of the last tournament in 2017, losing to hosts and eventual Women’s EURO 2017 Winners, The Netherlands.
