Revolut, the global fintech with over 60 million customers worldwide, has announced the appointment of Béatrice Cossa-Dumurgier as the CEO for its new Western Europe headquarters in Paris, which will serve as the hub for Revolut’s banking operations in the region.
As part of her new role, Cossa-Dumurgier will oversee the development of Revolut’s activities in Western Europe, with a key focus on securing the company’s banking licence from the French banking regulator, the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR), and the European Central Bank (ECB).
As a senior leader in Revolut’s EU banking operations, she’ll be working in close partnership with Revolut’s global leadership.
Crucially, Sid Jajodia, Chief Banking Officer, maintains oversight of all Revolut’s banking entities from its global HQ in London, providing the strategic framework within which these operations function. This includes Joe Heneghan, who continues to lead Revolut’s Lithuanian-licensed European bank – one pillar of the company’s dual-hub structure within the EU – and Cossa-Dumurgier, who now leads the other, and Francesca Carlesi, who heads up Revolut’s UK business.
Nik Storonsky, Founder of Revolut, said: “We are delighted to welcome Béatrice Cossa-Dumurgier as our new CEO for Western Europe. Her deep experience in traditional banking, combined with her ability to drive high-growth trajectories, will be a key asset in achieving regulatory integration and accelerating Revolut’s local expansion. Her appointment reflects our clear ambition: to make Revolut the leading digital bank in France and across Western Europe.”
Jajodia added: “Béatrice’s appointment marks a pivotal moment for our European strategy. Her expertise will be vital as we accelerate our presence across France and Western Europe, strengthen our regulatory engagement and build a trusted, sustainably growing banking institution across the region.
This appointment reflects Revolut’s commitment to bolstering its leadership team with experience across traditional banking and innovation as it continues to expand globally.
Béatrice Cossa-Dumurgier, CEO for Western Europe, added: “I’m delighted to be joining Revolut and would like to thank Nik Storonsky for his trust. Revolut is leading the most ambitious banking project in Europe today, and I’m proud to have the opportunity to play a key role in it. I am fully committed to putting my expertise to work for our customers, with the ambition of building lasting trust — not only with them, but also with the entire French and European banking ecosystem.”
Cossa-Dumurgier began her career at McKinsey and the French Ministry of Finance before joining BNP Paribas in 2004. Over the course of 15 years, she held several senior leadership roles there, spanning COO of the Retail Banking division and CEO of Personal Investors.
She then served as COO at BlaBlaCar and later at Believe, a global leader in digital music, where she supported the company’s rapid growth. In parallel, she was a member of the Board of Directors of Société Générale, a position she has just stepped down from to take on her new role at Revolut. She remains an independent board member of Peugeot Invest.
