CHEYENNE, Wyo., September 2, 2026 — The Wyoming Stable Token Commission, issuer of the first U.S.-state-issued stable token, today announced that the State of Wyoming has deepened its adoption of Chainlink to bring a new standard for reserve transparency by adopting Chainlink’ Proof of Reserve. This enablement builds upon the Commission’s migration to Chainlink’s industry-standard Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as its exclusive cross-chain infrastructure, a critical upgrade to ensure secure-by-default infrastructure for Frontier Stable Token (FRNT).

The GENIUS Act establishes an important federal baseline for stablecoin transparency, requiring monthly disclosure of reserve composition and outstanding supply supported by independent examination of month-end reporting. However, monthly reporting provides only a point-in-time view. In digital asset markets, the time between reports creates an information gap around what may have changed since the last verification.

The Commission already surpasses the GENIUS requirements by posting daily attestations on its website. By adopting Chainlink Proof of Reserve, Wyoming further exceeds its own best-in-class baseline by combining independent examination with automated onchain verification. In the integration, The Network Firm examines FRNT’s reserve and token-supply balances under AICPA standards, while Chainlink Proof of Reserve delivers verified reserve data onchain in near real time. Together, they create a stronger assurance model that removes blind spots between reporting periods and gives regulators, institutions, and market participants more timely visibility into FRNT’s backing. With Chainlink, Wyoming is setting a new standard for public-sector digital asset transparency.

The Frontier Stable Token represents one of the most ambitious public-sector digital asset initiatives in the United States. As the first state-issued stable token, FRNT is designed to meet the highest standards for security, transparency, and operational resilience while supporting the next generation of digital payments and tokenized financial markets at scale.

“Wyoming has consistently led the nation in advancing responsible digital asset innovation. By adopting Chainlink Proof of Reserve as Wyoming’s exclusive onchain asset verification infrastructure, we’re providing transparent, verifiable confirmation that the Frontier Stable Token is fully backed by high-quality reserve assets. This strengthens trust in FRNT while establishing the highest standard for transparency in public-sector digital assets.”Anthony Apollo, Executive Director of the Wyoming Stable Token Commission

“We’re excited to see the Wyoming Stable Token Commission exceed federal requirements and set a new U.S. standard for onchain reserve transparency by adopting Chainlink Proof of Reserve. This proves how governments can leverage the Chainlink platform to bring trusted, fully-verifiable onchain financial infrastructure into production at scale.”Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs

The Wyoming Stable Token Commission is in the process of adopting Chainlink Proof of Reserve Secure Mint, which programmatically requires verified reserves to equal or exceed the total token supply before new tokens can be minted. Secure Mint can help mitigate the risk of infinite-mint attacks and provide cryptographically verifiable assurance that newly-minted FRNT tokens are fully backed.
