Yesterday the Dow Jones and S&P 500 both surged on the news of Trump’s pause on tariffs. Cryptocurrencies have also jumped in value since the news with tokens like Hedera, XRP and Chainlink all gaining over 10 percent in the last 24 hours. However, yesterday’s big news has been the release of the first XRP ETF and how XRP subsequently outperformed most of the crypto market.
Teucrium Investment Advisors LLC yesterday launched its 2x XRP ETF on the New York Stock Exchange and recorded $5.43 million in turnover in its first day of trading. Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas posted on the X platform how the XRP ETF is “the best performing ETF this year.”
As markets rally on Trump’s tariffs delay, the digital assets ecosystem is also feeling the optimism. Bitcoin is up over 6 percent and Ethereum over 10 percent as investors react to markets.
Teucrium has been exclusively offering access to alternative markets through ETFs since its founding in 2010. It describes the XXRP fund as the Teucrium 2 x Long Daily XRP ETF. The ETF seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to two times (2x) the daily price performance of XRP for a single day, not for any other period.
Analysts at Teucrium believe that XRP is one of the most widely traded cryptocurrencies, and that supply and demand for XRP have been influenced by recent regulatory changes. They also warn that there is no guarantee that usage will grow in their analysis.
XRP continues to trend in the news and amongst investors. Could the cryptocurrency continue to rally towards heights of $10 later in 2025? The ETF certainly won’t hurt its progress.
